3 Ways Every Believer Can Be Involved In The Great Commission

Image
Great commission  Every person on earth needs to hear the message of Salvation. This message is that Jesus died for their sins, and they are reconciled to God through Christ’s death.  When Jesus was leaving the earth, He left the disciples with one command: Matthew 28: 18-20  And Jesus cam e and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in [ a ] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” This is a mandate of every believer. It was not for the first disciples only, nor was it for people on the pulpit. Every believer is an ambassador of Jesus Christ, as Paul states in 1 Cor 5:18.  Why Share The Gospel?  The Harvest is plentiful.  People are hungry to receive hope and peace. They are searching for it in every aspect. Little do they know that hope is in Christ Jesu

5 Reasons You Should Have Devotion.

Selfless Devotion time ..Photo credit to pixel.com   Despite being a Christian for years, I have sometimes lagged in my devotions. This is usually caused by being too busy,  traveling, failure to schedule time, and procrastination. Are you like me? Feel tagged here. But you know what, we must treat our devotion time with the urgency it needs. When we understand the need or urgency of having personal devotion, we will learn to focus on it in our schedules. We will ensure we do not miss it no matter how crazy our day is or where we are. It'sshouldn'tHere are the reasons why we need devotion. 1. It is a spiritual exercise. In life, when you want to be the best in something, you must practice. You must invest your time and other resources in it. No athlete wakes up in the morning and enrolls for a race without practicing. An athlete commits himself to exercise and denies himself some privileges to be fit the race ahead of him. Therefore, you as a believer must invest in your spirit

Make it simple. Make it memorable. Make it inviting to look at. Make it fun to read. Leo Burnett.   Copywriting is using either written or spoken word to make people take a specific action. You intend to make the reader, viewer, or listener of your content persuaded to make a specific action. Action can be clicking a link, calling to inquire more, subscribing through email, or buying something.  Copywriting can be an article or video content. Therefore, it can be an advert in the newspaper, a video ad on the TV, an audio ad on the radio, a 50-page sales on the website, a Facebook post, Instagram post, YouTube post, TIKTOK video, a 30minute live Facebook video, a meme, one hour podcast, and 300page book.  When preparing a copy, you must have a targeted prospect, a value to put in front of them, and the next step to invite them to take. You're trying to meet the needs of people through your content. People have desires, hope, worries, visions, and dreams that they want to achieve,

Pursue your Calling

Colossians 4:3-4 “Don’t forget to pray for us, that God will open doors for telling the mystery of Christ, even while I’m locked up in this jail. Pray that every time I open my mouth I’ll be able to make Christ plain as day to them.” Paul’s prayer request to the Colossians shows the Passion he had for his calling. Paul always made it clear in all his epistles that his calling was to share the message of the cross to the  Gentiles.  Even being in chains would not stop him from pursuing his calling.  This is a great lesson to us as saints that when we find our calling, nothing stops us from pursuing it. The passion for fulfilling our calling becomes the purpose we live for. When God created us, He already planned for the purpose he desires us to fulfil. Every person walking on earth has a problem to solve either He believes in God, who created in Him or not.   This means that for us to know our purpose, we must seek it from the Creator. When we pursue our purpose in Christ, we fulfil w

Impact of Technology on the Youth

A Youth Pastor in a youth church service said, “Anyone with a Bible kindly raise up and read this verse for us.” Everyone turned around to see who has a Bible. In a church service of 200 youth s,  no one had a Bible though most of them had Bible apps in their phones. Since the church has banned using phones in the church none of the youth would raise up to read the verse using his phone. This sounds familiar. Technology especially the internet plays a great role in the life of people the youth today. Research by Pew Research Centre  http://assets.pewresearch.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/14/2018/05/31102617/PI_2018.05.31_TeensTech_FINAL.pdf   showed that 95% of the youth have access to the internet either through a computer or smartphone.  90% percent of the youth have access to smartphones. 90% of the youth use Instagram, YouTube, and snap chat  on daily basis . Currently, most youth and teens are using Tiktok.   Research by One Hope  https://www.globalyouthculture.net/united-states/

Seeing Christ through the Book of Psalms.

Psalm 3  This Psalm was written by David when we fled from His son Absalom. Absalom planned to overthrow, and his father had to run from him. Imagine your own son taking your position by force while you are alive. Some of the people who were closer to David also joined Absalom.  But this had been prophesied by Nathan as a punishment to David for committing adultery. David turns to God for help; he cries to Him to save him from his enemies, and who were his enemies? His own son. David says his enemies are so many, and they even say God cannot save Him. But David is assured of God he serves. He calls him my Shield, my Glory, my only hope. David’s trust in God was so confident that not even him being at a threat would not change it. Even knowing he was reaping the consequences of his actions would not change his hope in God.  David ends by saying that he is not afraid; he calls on the Lord, and God will slap his enemies, breaking their teeth. He continues to say salvation comes from
