3 Ways Every Believer Can Be Involved In The Great Commission

Image
Great commission  Every person on earth needs to hear the message of Salvation. This message is that Jesus died for their sins, and they are reconciled to God through Christ’s death.  When Jesus was leaving the earth, He left the disciples with one command: Matthew 28: 18-20  And Jesus cam e and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in [ a ] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” This is a mandate of every believer. It was not for the first disciples only, nor was it for people on the pulpit. Every believer is an ambassador of Jesus Christ, as Paul states in 1 Cor 5:18.  Why Share The Gospel?  The Harvest is plentiful.  People are hungry to receive hope and peace. They are searching for it in every aspect. Little do they know that hope is in Christ Jesu

3 Basic Financial Principles From The Bible

Image
God's Provision. Photo by Lagos Food Bank Initiative I have struggled to meet daily needs. I have seen my parents struggle to give us basic needs. Yet we are believers. We have prayed for financial needs as a family. Sometimes we get answers to our prayers. Sometimes not.  I also have encountered believers struggling with getting their basic needs.   This made me start questioning if God cares for our financial needs.  In my search to understand God's provisions, I have learned 3 financial principles from God. Journey with me as we look at the 3 principles.  God Cares God cares for the needs of humans. Spiritually, mentally and physically needs. Physical needs include our provision and finances. Remember, He is our Father, and one of the fatherly characters is the "father is a provider." Some examples prove that:  From the beginning, God gave man land with all he needed. It had water, plants, and animals. God provided for man. He wanted men to be comfortable. (Genesis

4 Beneficial Areas a Believer Needs Self-Discipline

Image
What is self-discipline? Self-discipline is consistently controlling your feelings, emotions, and actions. Self-discipline is how you behave. Life has many distractions and things seeking our attention. These include our family, goals, job, social media, Tv, and many others. We have to rank what needs our attention most and at what time. This is why we need self-discipline. Knowing you are here on earth for a short time. And you are here for a  specific purpose ; you must make deliberate decisions to control your life. For you to fulfill that purpose, you have goals you set aligned towards it. Achieving these goals requires discipline. For a believer to live a fulfilled life, you must have self-discipline. In 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Paul emphasizes that only those who commit to practice and focus on the end goal receive the prize. This means that some do not receive the award. Why? They lost focus. They got distracted on the way. Where is your focus? Paul ends the chapter with a call to

Image
Photo credit to pixel.com- Positivity It is said that actions speak louder than words. Positive people seem to acknowledge this. They know that there is power in spoken words and the great impact words have in people’s lives.  Therefore, positive people build genuine relationships either in their professional or personal lives by using powerful words. You can easily spot a positive person by the words that come out of their mouth when they speak to others.  You can practice being a positive person by embracing the use of powerful codes.  I am Wrong  A positive person admits when he is wrong. It comes out of him without being coerced. This communicates to others that "I am also the imperfect person that can make mistakes." It allows others to learn from their mistakes.  Furthermore, admitting that you are wrong sends out the message that you are ready to learn from your mistakes. It also blocks people from judging you. “I am wrong “shows that you are mature and brings healing

Seeing Christ through the book of Psalms

Image
Psalm 4 Photo credits to pixel. Personal devotions. Is Psalms one of your favorite books in the Bible? What do you love in the book of Psalms? Most people love the book of Psalms because of David’s Prayers, praises, and devotions. I love the book of Pslams because of the lessons it contains and how it displays the role of Christ in our lives.  Psalm 4 is written by David, and The Passion Translation Bible titles it as a Melody of David. This Psalm is like a song. It comes after Psalm 3, written by David, after being forced to flee from his son Absalom. You can read my devotion on  Psalm 3 : Devotion: Psalm3 Chapter 4, David starts by praising God for who He is in his life, mentioning that God is his righteousness and Champion. He ends by affirming the confidence He has in God that makes Him sleep in peace, and He lives unafraid.  Camp here with me as we break down this Psalm with the help of the Holy Spirit.  God my righteousness.  David acknowledges that righteousness comes from God

Selfless Devotion time ..Photo credit to pixel.com   Despite being a Christian for years, I have sometimes lagged in my devotions. This is usually caused by being too busy,  traveling, failure to schedule time, and procrastination. Are you like me? Feel tagged here. But you know what, we must treat our devotion time with the urgency it needs. When we understand the need or urgency of having personal devotion, we will learn to focus on it in our schedules. We will ensure we do not miss it no matter how crazy our day is or where we are. It'sshouldn'tHere are the reasons why we need devotion. 1. It is a spiritual exercise. In life, when you want to be the best in something, you must practice. You must invest your time and other resources in it. No athlete wakes up in the morning and enrolls for a race without practicing. An athlete commits himself to exercise and denies himself some privileges to be fit the race ahead of him. Therefore, you as a believer must invest in your spirit
